Russell A. Davidson

Mr. Davidson is National Vice President of the American Institute of Architects for 2012-2013, serving as one of eight elected leaders of the 85,000 member organization. He is past president of AIA New York State (2007) and AIA Westchester Mid-Hudson (1999), and currently serves as the Regional Director of the AIA for the State of New York.
Mr. Davidson is the President of Kaeyer, Garment & Davidson Architects & Engineers, PC of Mount Kisco, New York, a 20-person architectural and engineering firm specializing in educational, municipal and commercial/industrial campus and facilities design. In the past 10 years, the firm has planned and constructed projects valued at more than $600 million throughout the lower Hudson Valley and New York Metro area.
Mr. Davidson’s firm has been recognized for designing the first building in Westchester County, NY to achieve LEED Gold certification, and a replacement elementary school in White Plains, NY which earned an Energy Smart score of 100 and is believed to be the most energy-efficient public school building in New York State at the present time. In 2010, two award-winning designs, The Media Arts Lab at Jacob Burns Film Center and Seven Bridges Middle School, were cited by regional architects for being two of Westchester County, New York’s “Ten Most Beautiful Buildings,” (Westchester Magazine, Dec. 2010). |
